Pointy Things

The Choctaw word for weapons "na halupa", literally means "pointing things". Stone projectile points are more than pretty shapes. Tied to homelands, chipping tools, and techniques for shaping stone passed down by local communities for generations, they are one of the deepest pieces of traditional culture that you can hold in your hand. I mostly work in stone types and styles that reflect the Choctaw homeland (western AL, eastern MS), the area I grew up (western MO/eastern KS), and the Choctaw Nation Reservation (southeastern OK). I use only abo tools made of antler, bone, and stone to shape the rock. Here is some of my work mostly from 2024-2025. Like every old point, every point that I make tells a story.
